Illegals can’t get free healthcare. You need to have paperwork that proves you are allowed to be in the US (even if temporarily) and a valid work permit. I say this from experience—I was able to opt for ACA subsidies ONLY because of my work permit and I will lose it next year because my permit is expiring and there is a hold in processing. These people are so dumb. They should be questioning why them, as citizens, face the same exact lack of access to healthcare that most immigrants face. Or do they not know that a person needs to be employed and just above the poverty limit to have access to subsidies? If you are unemployed or homeless, which in any other less fucked up country would have guaranteed you help, you don’t qualify for the ACA. You need to be generating taxes for you to qualify. Immigrants are not your enemies, your government is.
