And this is important even with Arsenal winning the league and City pushing them all the way, no player from either side won the award. That already tells you how difficult the standards are for this trophy. Bruno is a fantastic footballer, nobody denies that. His creativity, his mentality, his leadership top class. But personally. I don’t think he deserves it to be fair. If you are going to be crowned the best player in the Premier League, your performances have to translate into a real title challenge or trophies. That’s just how I see football.”
